From 18 October 2026 to 28 February 2027, the Bishop’s Palace in Portogruaro is hosting ‘Luigi Russolo. Rumorcolori’, an exhibition dedicated to one of Futurism’s most innovative figures, who was born in this very Venetian town.
The exhibition, curated by Gabriele Simongini in collaboration with Guido Andrea Pautasso, offers a journey through the creative universe of Russolo, an artist who experimented across painting, music and sound research. On display are around 80 works, including paintings, drawings, engravings, furniture, ‘intonarumori’ and historical documents, which trace the various phases of his career: from his Symbolist beginnings through his Futurist period, right up to the works of his final years.
The exhibition also marks the start of a series of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the artist’s death, offering the public the opportunity to explore the contribution of a key figure in the evolution of 20th-century art and musical experimentation.
